Belief in the Paranormal and Personality
Traits [ send
me this paper ] An 8 page paper that investigates the relationship
between personality and a belief in the paranormal. A number of studies
are discussed that address the personality variables that are most closely
related to a belief in the paranormal. The few studies that attempted to
address the effect of such as belief on one's life are also reported.
While there is disagreement regarding how such a belief actually affects a
person's life, there is agreement regarding the personality traits that
are correlated to such a belief. Bibliography lists 10 sources. Filename: PGesp.wps
ESP Does It Really Exist? -- Yes !
[ send
me this paper ] A 4 page paper describing three personal-knowledge
experiences of the writer with ESP-related experiences, followed by some
of the history of Joseph Banks Rhine's Parapsychology Laboratory opened at
Duke University in the 1930s for the purpose of empirically investigating
the existence of ESP and psychokinesis. The paper states that nearly all
of us have had some sort of unexplainable extrasensory experience, and
works to the conclusion that ESP does in fact exist. Bibliography lists 4
sources. Filename: ESPyes.doc
Fully Human Fully Alive" by John Powell

Human Fully Alive" by John Powell. No additional sources cited. Filename: RAfullyhmn.wps
Living In Virtual Reality [ send
me this paper ] 5 pages in length. What would it be like to live in
total virtual reality? Some believe it is the answer to all the world's
ills, in that war, hunger and disease could all be programmed out of
existence. With such power over these otherwise detrimental entities, life
would be absent of all things negative and harmful. However, others
contend that programming one's existence from a ready-made set of
experiences leaves no possibility for the unknown, the challenging or the
inherent element of human disappointment. No bibliography. Filename:

from themselves on many issues such as life after death, ESP, UFO's and

Telepathic Communication [ send
me this paper ] A 5 page paper seeking theoretical support for the
existence of telepathy and then evidence of its existence. Some experience
telepathic events but rarely if ever speak of the event, fully convinced
they have been involved in telepathic communication. Still others seek to
research it, separate reality from wishful thinking and give credence to
its existence. The mechanism of telepathy remain unclear, and of course
others are adamant that it does not even exist. Those who claim to have
had direct and personal experience with telepathic communications remain
absolutely convinced that telepathy is very real. Bibliography lists 11
sources. Filename:

The Case Against the Existence of ESP
[ send
me this paper ] A 4 page paper refuting the claims of
parapsychology researchers. The paper acknowledges that there are indeed
occurrences that we cannot understand based on the knowledge that we now
have, but maintains that our own lack of knowledge is far from sufficient
reason to conclude the existence of ESP. Many phenomena that were
unexplainable in years past have since been shown to be attributable to
natural laws, and there is little reason to conclude that there are no
more natural laws left to discover. Explanation for the unexplainable may
well come at a later date. For now, no psychic research has been shown to
be duplicatable, a prime rule of scientific investigation. Bibliography
lists 4 sources. Filename:
